I am still learning to work with all of these new tools, but I did not really find a huge need for RSS feeds. They are great for updated news, but as far as classroom use I do not see the benefit in them as of now. I am sure that one day down the road when I am working with a particular project I will come back to these and realize how useful they really are, but for now . . . . .
As I explored educational blogs, I found that they can be used for many purposes. I found blogs talking about professional educational issues, blogs that serve as soundboards for teaching ideas, and blogs that are interactive among students and teachers, as well as parents. However, it seemed that most of the blogs that I found deal with educational technology rather than the classroom itself.
The blogs that I explored were organized in several different ways. I prefer to have them organized by date so that it is easy to reference previous postings.
I found a great website that lists several different types of educational blogs: http://www.google.com/Top/Reference/Education/Instructional_Technology/Weblogs/.
