Podcasting

Listening to the Room 208 podcasts gave me many ideas on things that can be incorporated into classroom podcasts.

I really enjoyed the podcasts presented in the Room 208 site. The kids did a great job! I especially liked the idea of sharing a literature circle via podcast. I had never thought of that idea. It is a great educational tool for teachers who are trying to set up literature circles in their classroom. It allows them to listen to a literature circle and hear how they work and how they are used effectively. The students’ use of music within the podcasts made the presentation seem very professional.

It is great that the students can also add interviews to their podcasts. It is a nice feature to include on the podcasts, so that presentations that are done at school can be incorporated into classroom instruction. This allows teachers and students to refer back to the interview for later classroom use.

I also listened to the Room 208 podcasts. I enjoyed and gained several ideas as well. I love the idea of sharing a literature circle via a podcast, which I hadn't thought of either. I agree with you that allowing students to listen to a literature circle serves as a great explanation as to what you expect from your students once they begin literature circles.
